There is another way

Making things happen

Don’t give up on what you’re going after just take a second to zoom out and see the bigger picture…

There’s always a way to make something happen. 

A lot of times we only think of doors of opportunity but there are stairs, windows, ladders, elevators and machines that you can build to help you get to the place you’re trying to get too. 

For example:

I would love to do work with Nike. Someone only seeing one way would think I need to send Nike a DM or an Email and tell them they want to work with them. 

Someone seeing other possibilities might…

• Send that DM

• Find contact on website and send email

• Google search who works for Nike corporate and then find these people on social media and follow them and start building a genuine relationship and when the time is right share your work with them (Could take months to form and authentic relationship)

• Reach out to Sponsored Athletes to see if you could add any value for them in hopes that your work could get back to nike or you do such good job they introduce you to them.

• Work on mock projects and start tagging the brand and sharing on social media and others who work in the company

• Reach out to employees via Linkedin

• Sense im an artist maybe I would do an epic canvas piece and send it to HQ with the creative directors name on it. Tell them I love the work they do and hope they enjoy the gift and if they want to see more work to check out my instagram or email and I can send them a portfolio. 

These are just some easy low hanging fruit ideas on seeing other ways to make something happen. There are so many other ways to approach this example and then each way can have a break down of strategies as well.

Im sharing this in hopes that someone who feels like they have exhausted all possible options would be open to the possibility that there might be another way. 

We come from a world that is constantly showing us that anything is possible if you’re willing. So instead of looking at things as not possible i’ve tried everything. Let’s switch the mindset to I am capable of making the impossible possible and I am open to seeing the next opportunity and then continue to work at it. 

YOU HAVE TO CONTINUE TO DO THE WORK.

Finding a new way or building a new trail is not an easy task. You are supposed to feel resistance when you are thinking and doing things a new way. 

Give yourself permission to think differently and then forge on
